About Glorious Foods
Owner Chef Maria Mayo, though her family originated in Italy, was raised in La Lorraine France. She has vast and very knowledgeable cooking experience that started at a very early age.
In 1979 she took a two-year apprenticeship at Boulangerie Patisserie in France.  Maria also has special training with a Chocolatier also located in France.Maria relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia in 1983. She worked for a brief time as a translator for a French cooking class. In 1991 Maria accepted the position as manager of Post Street Catering.  She has many years experience in all aspects of the catering business.Some of our clients include: The Miller Foundation, The Jefferson Scholars Foundation, Monticello UVA Law School, CIA Director Mr. & Mrs. Porter Goss, UVA McIntire School of Commerce, Merrill Lynch, The Montpelier Foundation, and Judge Leigh Middleditch.
